Good Day, Janeites!
We have the final information regarding our Birthday Celebration for our Jane
with Iris Lutz, the JASNA President. As noted previously, we will be having the
celebration on December 6th at the beautiful
Los Poblanos Inn in Los Ranchos.

here. We have room for 75
guests,
so invite any of your friends that might be interested in attending this gala
affair! I have attached a Flier
(created by Catie Glover) that may be used to tell them about the event. The
cost for the affair will be $45 per person. (Checks should be sent to JASNA, 80
Thunderbird Ln, Tijeras, NM by November 25th
) Regency dress is appreciated but not a requirement for this affair. Also note
that anyone who newly joins JASNA before or at the meeting will receive a $10.00
discount to our event provided by anonymous donors!
We will begin our
Celebration at 11:00 AM in the Gallery with introductions of guests and a talk
by Iris Lutz, the President of JASNA (Jane Austen Society of North America).
Following the talk, we will move to the elegant Grand Ballroom, where we will be
treated to a Plated Luncheon The menu will be an introductory Cranberry-Pecan
Salad. followed by Turkey Kiev with sautéed greens and wild rice risotto and
then for desert we will have an Eggnog Brulee and/or Florentine Tart. All meals
come with bread, iced tea, water, coffee (regular or decaf).
After
the luncheon, we will retire to the Library, where we will have our toast to
Jane’s Birthday, our scrumptious desert, and the drawing for the Regency Dress
created by Tana Reber. Tickets for the dress will be available for $10 each up
until the actual drawing – this is a wonderful opportunity to obtain a beautiful
regency costume made especially for you by an extremely creative designer!
